HOW WE HELP
How often do overwhelmed teachers resort to giving students generalised feedback, leaving them unsure of how to truly improve?
We provide students with weekly homework tasks, meticulously review their work, and deliver direct, line-by-line feedback— showing them exactly what it takes to achieve a Grade 9.
With GCSEs just a few months away, preparation is key to success.
Our Strategic Test Prep Lessons include additional sessions focused on past papers, model answers, and a clear roadmap to achieving top marks. By equipping students with the tools and strategies they need, we help them approach exams with confidence and a calm mind, ensuring they are in the best mental state to succeed.
Access a wealth of resources at your fingertips, including model answers, revision guides, mind maps, and more — all available on our exclusive online learning portal, eliminating the need for additional purchases.
Revisit lessons anytime with recorded sessions, allowing students to review topics at their own pace and reinforce their understanding whenever needed.
Stay on track with assigned homework tasks and explore extra practice opportunities, with the option to submit additional work for feedback and further growth.
I truly enjoyed learning with other students. At first, I thought it would be like school, but here, everyone wants to achieve a Grade 9, and is seriously committed. The opportunity to learn from other students, and be motivated by each other was crucial towards achieving a Grade 9!
I had a 1 on 1, in person tutor before, and was quite sceptical about online tuition. However, the opportunity for 24/7 support via Whatsapp, and the access to the private online learning portal made it so so much better than could have expected.
I've witnessed genuine improvement in study habits since starting at LAF Tutors. The lessons and homework tasks really do help to provide structure to my study routine, impacting all of my other subjects too.
FAQs
Answers to Frequently Asked Questions
What age groups do LAF Tutors cater to?
We provide support for students from Year 7 to Year 11.
What experience do your Tutors have?
All of our tutors have at least 10+ years worth of teaching experience, and 5+ years of being an examiner for the main exam boards.
Can I schedule tutoring sessions around my child's extracurricular activities?
Yes! Almost all of our other student's have extra curricular activities which they commit to. However, our flexible lessons allow students to attend around these activities.
How large are your group sizes?
Our group sizes are based on learning, and are entirely flexible! As of current, the ratio stands at 5 students, smaller than a private school. If class sizes ever exceed this, we add teaching assistants for support.
Can I just leave the program?
Of course! If the program is not working out for your child, or you are no longer able to commit to the classes, you can leave at any time, simply providing us with a few days notice.
What measures do you take to track student progress?
Through the weekly homework tasks we set, we are able to monitor the scores the students achieve. If it appears as though no progress is being made, we will set up a 1-2-1 meeting with the student and the parent to decipher a plan for success.
